The wait.

Me neither.

Waiting has been such a huge part of our daily lives that it has become second nature to us . Just like how some people excel in studies and sports, some are better in the waiting game. They have a high threshold of losing their sh*t cool. And if you're one of them, I salute you. because you're part of the patient community and obviously have your thing going on pretty good.

And as for the majority of us who get impatient in a queue or while you're waiting for food, I feel you.

Whether it's waiting for food, or being stuck in a traffic, waiting for your results or your other half. Sometimes we have to accept that mastering the 'waiting game' goes along way.

We seem to be so caught up in the hurry, getting to the next best thing in such a haste that we never value the moment. We rush into a relationship and when the sparks dissipate we blame it on the partner when in fact it's because we never took the time to learn about who they are as a person. Sometimes time is the essence and the foundation of a more fruitful relationship.

In this era, speed is THE current buzz. People are on their toes searching for the best internet service provider with the fastest internet speed. Public transports are all about speed too, although sometimes late. Our lives are no different. We try our best to get out of school fast, expected to be in college or get a degree by a certain age and start working. Don't get me wrong, that isn't at all a bad thing. In fact, some people need the push and the motivation or they won't move a muscle. But is the rush really for the good or bad? Food for thought .

On the defence of waiting, if you think about it, it's not a very bad idea after all.

Waiting Builds Patience

Patience in the small things lead to patience in the bigger things. If you have the patience to wait for your food, it will not be served raw. If you can wait and be patient for your shot in glory and success, you will be rewarded in time. If you haven't found your other half and you're wondering if there is something wrong with you , don't. Believe that the universe has a way of aligning the things meant for you and you won't miss it if it's right. Don't chase people, chase your dreams instead.

Waiting builds character

There are only 2 types of people in a queue or a traffic jam. The patient one, and the not-so patient one. Can you tell the difference? I'm sure you can. Although I think even the most patient one is impatient inside. They just don't show it. That's pretty cool too. Ultimately, It's about learning that sometimes many things are out of your control and you have to be okay with it. You can't scream and cause a scene (Omg that rhymes), you can however meditate and not hate ( okay I'm trying too hard) . You just have to hang in there. You'll come out as a much stronger individual.

Waiting reveals our true motives

If it's worth it, you won't mind waiting for it. Explain why that famous 'rojak' stall that might not look like much to you but to everyone who has tried it, they don't mind waiting in line for it. Even if it means queue-ing under the sun. Waiting has a way of bringing the good and bad in people. People with less good intentions will often fall short because they're not interested in the commitment it takes to achieve that goal. Some might be more interested in the short term success or gains. But if you wait it out, one day, the wait will be worth it. You ultimately get to savour the best 'rojak' you've been queueing for! :)

Now all that is said, what's left is your faith in fate itself. If you believe in fate then believe that fate will sort itself out. In His perfect timing.

Fate will sort itself out.- Unknown

Change what you can but if you can't help it, leave it to fate.
